Silver Steel is a Hollywood-based hard rock and heavy metal band founded by guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Marcus Silver. Forged on the Sunset Strip and driven by blistering riffs, raw energy, and hard-hitting live performances, the band delivers a powerful blend of classic metal influence and modern edge, with a sound rooted in authenticity and musicianship. Joining Marcus is world-renowned bassist Bjorn Englen, known for his work with neo-classical guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen and the legendary Quiet Riot. Bjorn has performed with members of AC/DC and Whitesnake, as well as the amazing, late great Ronnie James Dio—who was also the former singer of Black Sabbath. His touring experience and commanding tone and presence place him among the most respected bass players in the heavy rock world.
The foundation of the band is powerhouse drummer Jorge “JJ” Iacobellis, whose precision and rhythmic authority fuel Silver Steel’s unmistakable drive. Marcus himself has collaborated and jammed with Grammy winners and legendary rock icons—including former Motörhead drummer Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor—while sharpening the band’s fire and intensity. Keyboards are handled by the amazing Dave Schulz. Together, Silver Steel stands as a dynamic, seasoned, and fiercely dedicated unit delivering some of the best hard rock on the planet.
